Break's Over

Posted by Hudson Eakin on Tuesday, November 10, 2009,
Break's over.
I took a few weeks off to focus on building a kickass Haunted House (Video to, hopefully, come soon!) at school and handle some personal things. Don't worry, you'll hear all about it on the album. So far there's eleven songs written and two tracks that've been sent out for collabs with other artists.
Regardless, some serious personal shit went down this past weekend and after a month of hardly touching my bass (and actually considering giving up at some points), I'm definitely r...

New Shows, New Members, New Plans, and New Free Music!

Posted by Hudson Eakin on Monday, August 10, 2009,
Hello all,

It's been awhile since I last wrote, but I've got a couple news items that I thought y'all might be interested in...

Introducing...Ryan Daniels

Born in Bolton, UK Ryan Daniels was originally headed down the path of a classical musician. But after two years of training in the violin, Daniels was introduced to the otherwordly wailings of Robin Finck while he was touring with Nine Inch Nails on the Self-Destruct and Further Down The Spiral tours in 1994-1995. The devil music had him and ...

Winding Things Down For The Summer...

Posted by Hudson Eakin on Monday, April 13, 2009,
As yall know by now I sign all the musicians I have on the live version of the band for a predetermined period of time. At the end of this month the contracts I have with Zach Shaw, Andy Renard, Esteban Garcia, and Dan Gilbert will all be running out. This doesn't by any stretch of the imagination mean that The Way Out Is Through is over.

All this means is that, the semester is almost over and since we're all going to be spread to the winds it's going to be a little difficult getting everyone...

"I am actually getting rather fed up of terrible music (in my opinion, of course) I get sent to me on a daily basis, so it was a refreshing changed to listen to this record." Sarah Glover, 3/21/09, Soul Drift Music Blog

Album Notes: My Best Shot

Posted by Hudson Eakin on Friday, March 20, 2009,
Every week I release a song I'll be releasing some album notes on it. Keep in mind that this is only what the song means to me and I don't want to have any influence on what the music means to you. If Endorphin reminds you of washing the dishes, so be it. If it reminds you of doing that crazy party you went to or makes you feel like a sumo wrestler is sitting on your chest, awesome. Keep that. The only reason why I write these is for the sake of curiosity and so that a couple years from now I...

Album Notes: Don't Care

I realize I've been slacking-off on these lately, my apologies. I'll do my best to get back up on the horse here and deliver like I said I would.

First and foremost I'd like to thank everyone that came out to the show last night. Attendance was a LOT higher than I thought it was going to be and everyone in the band was blown away by the size of the crowd last night. 250ish (and that's a conservative guess), people attended the show last night. We know this because there were only 200 programs made and RHA ran out well before the flow of people co...
